MERCY HOSPITAL NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (NWA)
Mercy asked BatesForum to study the needs of the community and provide a master plan for the campus.
Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas (NWA) is located in Rogers, Arkansas. The existing campus was constructed in 2008 and in just a few short years, the demand on the hospital has out grown its space. With the hospital nearly at capacity most days, in 2015 Mercy asked BatesForum to study the needs of the community and provide a master plan for the campus. BatesForum has since taken that plan through programming, design, and construction documents on the proposed 8 story tower. Construction is underway. The tower will include 36 new Cardiac inpatient beds, 17 NICU beds and 14 pediatric patient rooms on the upper floors while the lower floors will house diagnostic and testing departments. The third floor surgery platform will be expanded to include 4 new Operating rooms (1 CVOE, 1 Hybrid and 2 General ORs), 4 shell operating rooms for future expansion, 24 bed PACU and 34 bed Pre Post private rooms.
The second floor expansion includes 1 new Cath Lab, 3 shelled Cath Lab for future expansion, 2 new CT imaging rooms, 5 new ultrasound rooms, and 26 pre post private rooms for invasive cardiology department. The first floor renovation and expansion includes central sterile processing department, Clinical Engineering, material management and loading dock, environmental services, pharmacy and laboratory, patient access department, pre admit testing department, conference center, renovated dietary and servery and new café. This project include a future ED expansion and the fit out of 72 patient rooms on the sixth and seventh floors as well.
