ELY WALKER LOFTS
This historic loft redevelopment maintains the building's turn-of-the-century character while providing modern amenities.
This 173-unit historic redevelopment project is located in the Washington Avenue Loft District. The 372,300-square-foot, turn-of-the-century warehouse building was transformed into a modern apartment building featuring high ceilings, exposed brick and expansive windows. BatesForum upgraded the building structure and restored exterior masonry and windows to maintain the character and style of the original building as well as receiving historic tax credits for the owner.
An atrium was cut into the center of the building with skylights added to bring light into the interior of the building and number of amenities were designed within the building, including a rooftop amenity deck, health fitness room, entertainment room and first floor retail. The basement was converted into parking and storage for the residents.
