Featuring a full product line, the light-filled new showroom focuses on enhancing the customer experience.
Regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious contemporary lighting manufacturers, Artemide is synonymous for design and innovation, and has produced lighting options that meet the needs for all standards of living for more than 50 years. Having outgrown its existing space and looking to expand, Artemide chose to relocate its showroom to the light-filled first floor of one of the finest loft office buildings in the heart of River North.
The eight-story building of masonry and heavy timber construction was the ideal location to house the new 2,000-square-foot showroom. The full interior renovation, designed by BatesForum, focused on heightening the customer experience and featuring a full product line, both new and existing. The new showroom, also functioning as a workspace for employees, boasts full-length picture windows allowing an abundance of natural light, exposed brick, wood beam ceilings semi-covered with white ceiling clouds, gray polished concrete flooring to sport a minimalist feel, and uses small vignettes to frame images and express the various moods of lighting.
The open space also includes a small kitchenette and conference room, and is large enough to host events for clients and colleagues. The design team achieved the client’s goal by creating a vibrant, modern, and energetic space that effectively showcases the product line, reinforces the company brand, and provides a functional and flexible workplace.
