AIR PRODUCTS AND CHEMICALS
Air Products is the world’s largest supplier of hydrogen and helium and has built leading global supply positions in growth markets such as semiconductor materials, refinery hydrogen, coal gasification, natural gas liquefaction, and advanced coatings and adhesives.
The 326,284-square-foot manufacturing campus for Air Products consists of six buildings on a 32-acre site in Palmetto, Florida. Representing the next generation of U.S. manufacturing, Air Products has refined the technology for cryogenic heat exchangers, which convert natural gas into liquefied form.
BatesForum designed appropriately-scaled facilities, some including structural bays with clear spans that measure 150 by 300 feet, enabling the industry leader to produce — and ship around the world — pressured vessels that weigh up to 1.6 million pounds. A complex circulation path facilitates the movement of large components among the buildings. The result is a compact footprint and operational efficiency that allows Air Products to sustain a manufacturing business in the U.S.
As the leader in LNG technology, Air Products required a fast-paced solution to meet the demands of the new emerging markets which require cleaner and better sources of energy.
